Ayana Retail Center

This is a recently completed retail center in Naperville. The owner’s intent was to create a façade that suggested a series of unique shops along a streetscape with varying rooftops, wall materials and patterns. The central tower will be lit at night and will prominently tie the center together as a whole. The corner towers are slightly tapered and are suggestive of Egyptian architecture. Tenants include an orthodontic office along with several retailers.

Plymouth Park Retail Center

The new owner of two outdated adjacent strip malls needed to give them an updated look that would tie the two buildings together into one retail center. The outdated facades received new surfacing, paint, lighting, awnings, signage and a complete interior renovation of every retail space. The side of the building features a ceramic mural created by a ceramic studio tenant. Besides the ceramics studio, new tenants for these buildings include an imported food store, a party supply store, a deli, and a pizza franchise.

Manna Foods Grocery Imports

This building was one of 2 outdated adjacent strip malls. The new owner needed to give them
an updated look that would tie the two buildings together into one retail center. The outdated
“colonial” look was updated by removing the front facia and adding heavy timber detailing,
new paint, lighting, awnings, signage and a complete renovation of the interior retail

Chicago Premium Outlets

Allen+Pepa Architects was the architect of record for 6 national brand store interiors at the new Chicago Premium Outlet Mall in Aurora, IL. Working closely with corporate designers, our architects provided plans incorporating the clients’ corporate design standards into the new spaces,coordinating the lighting, outlets, interior finishes, and restrooms. The outlet store interiors done by Lane Allen Architects included The Cosmetic Store (Estee Lauder Co.) Sony, The Kitchen Collection, Jacadi, Sixty (Studio 63), and the Fragrance Outlet.

Conference Center Dining Room Remodel

This conference center, constructed in the early 1970’s, was eager to achieve an updated hospitality look in it’s cafeteria-style dining area. New colors, carpets, window treatments, lighting and a raised ceiling with a curved soffit achieved their goal. The dining area seats 250 and is designed to efficiently accomdate a high volume and very busy turn-over of guests in short periods of time.

Deli and Restaurant

A husband and wife team wished to create an inviting and lively casual lunch restaurant and deli for the nearby Huntley Sun City clientele. The 3000 sq. ft. space required a variety of cooking and prep areas, as well as refrigerated display areas for the sale of fresh produce.
