Larkin Center / 59 Park Row Renovation
Exterior renovation of this Queen Anne home overlooking Gifford Park in downtown Elgin involved Federal grant money as well as being located in one of Elgin’s Historic Districts. Thus it required more intensive renovation work including lead based paint abatement, restoring railings and stairs to historic standards, historic paint colors, repairing wood, siding and lighting.
