Holmstad Retirement Community
Lantz-Boggio Architects of Denver, Colorado hired Allen+Pepa Architects to oversee their extensive work with Covenant Retirement Communities in the suburban Chicago area. Lane Allen acted as a liaison between the local client and contractors and the out-of-state architect, addressing construction problems as they came up and keeping the multiple projects running smoothly. Allen+Pepa oversaw the construction of six different construction projects for this client, including remodeling of 2 existing buildings, three new residential facilities, and a new development of 32 luxury independent-living duplexes. For the Holmstad, Allen Pepa worked on the following projects:
- Extam Center, a 35,000 square feet new facility which included 46 new units servicing dementia patients ,as well as an expansion of deluxe assisted living units.
- Michealson Center, a 50,000 square feet , 5 phase remodeling of 40 patient rooms and nurse stations on two floors
- New Colonial Building, a 29,000 square feet 2-story building that includes 16 assisted living units, administration offices, and social areas.
